ROYAL CANADIAN DENTAL CORPS ASSOCIATION

RCDCA is a national charitable organization that promotes the RCDC as an integral part of the Canadian Armed Forces and fosters the esprit de corps of its members. It achieves these aims through close liaison with the Director of Dental Services, the regular provision of information on current issues to its members, and participation in the acquisition, preservation, maintenance and/or display of items of historical value to military dentistry.

ROYAL CANADIAN LOGISTICS SERVICE ASSOCIATION

CFLA promotes the interests and concerns of the Branch to attain the greatest possible efficiency in the Logistics Service of the Canadian Armed Forces. It provides a forum for the exchange of information related to defence and logistics matters between current and retired members of the Branch and other interested individuals and/or organizations. The CFLA consists of regular force members, some reservists, retired members, and civilians who are employed in logistics functions.

CANADIAN MILITARY INTELLIGENCE ASSOCIATION

CMIA is Canada’s leading advocate for military intelligence. In addition to commemorating the history, heritage, and traditions of the Canadian military intelligence function, CMIA promotes informed public discussion on military intelligence issues, fosters esprit de corps and networking among its members, provides benefits to its members and dependents, and promotes professional development and best practices of the Intelligence Branch.

ROYAL CANADIAN ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS GUILD

The RCEME Guild was jointly established by the leadership of the Corps together with its Associations to maintain, strengthen and preserve the bonds of comradeship born of a common experience as the “Maintainers” of it Canadian Armed Forces. Its aim is to provide a structure for the betterment and well-being of the Community, which includes the fostering of esprit de corps, both of serving and retired members of the Regular and Reserve forces; promoting public interest in the RCEME Corps; and preserving the Corps’ traditions.

ROYAL CANADIAN ARTILLERY ASSOCIATION

RCAA is a not-for-profit organization incorporated to promote the effectiveness and welfare of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery and of all matters pertaining to the defence of Canada. Central to the RCA Regimental Family, RCAA represents all Canadian Gunners regardless of rank, whether serving or retired. In addition to promoting the effectiveness of the Regiment, RCAA celebrates and safeguards the Regimental heritage and connects with Canadians.

ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION

The Legion serves Veterans, including serving military and RCMP members and their families; promotes Remembrance; and serves Canada’s communities.

The Legion advocates for all who served Canada and provides access to their services at no cost, whether they are members or not, to all Veterans. The Legion exists so that Canada never forgets, helping Canadians to honour and remember. With 1350 Branches from coast to coast to coast, the Legion provides one of the largest volunteer bases in the country. Its Legionnaires provide essential services in their communities.

NAVY LEAGUE OF CANADA

NLOC is a civilian, non-profit organization working in partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces to support the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet program. Volunteer-led, the NLOC also independently operates the Navy League Cadet program. NLOC’s Maritime Affairs portfolio ensures a relevant, sustainable, ready and able Canadian Navy and also supports Canada’s agricultural, industrial, and business sectors by encouraging dependable marine transportation and port facilities, and maritime safety and protection.

CANADIAN MILITARY COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION

The C&E Association is a professional association, including serving members, retired colleagues, families, and industry partners. We are a member of the overall C&E family.

The C&E Association aims to enhance the effectiveness of Canada’s military communicators and promote the morale and welfare of its members through professional development; member support; connecting with its retired community; and preserving, educating, and celebrating its heritage.

CANADIAN MILITARY POLICE ASSOCIATION

CMPA is a non-profit national organization dedicated to bettering the lives of currently serving and former Military Police Branch personnel.

CMPA has several distinct lines of effort: advocacy and liaison, promoting its heritage, community outreach, and awareness and recognition. In this manner, CMPA fosters esprit de corps, encourages public interest in the Branch, and supports its members as well as the efficiency and well-being of the Branch.

ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION

RCAFA aims to sustain the interest of all Canadians in aerospace issues and the country’s air force. The RCAFA primary roles are Youth, Heritage, and Advocacy. It achieves these roles by introducing young Canadians to aerospace careers; advocating for a well-prepared, well-equipped, operationally ready air force for Canada; and promoting Canada’s rich air force history.

CANADIAN MILITARY ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION

CMEA is open to all members and ranks of the CME family, including those who currently serve with or support the CME or have done so in the past.

CMEA aims to further the effectiveness of Canada’s military engineering capability and the well-being of the CME Branch. CMEA achieves this with a national communications network, support to members and their families, employment assistance, preservation of the CME heritage, professional development, recognition of excellence, and advocacy through research and study of national security issues and informing the public.

ROYAL CANADIAN ARMOURED CORPS ASSOCIATION

RCACA represents the interests of the corps and Canadian Army to government and the public, able to champion issues on their behalf because of its arms length relationship with both DND and the government.

RCACA has an equally important role in fostering esprit-de-corps through the preservation of the corps’ heritage, recognition of individual and unit excellence, and provision of periodic updates, policy deliberations, exchanges of views, and unit visits.

ROYAL CANADIAN MEDICAL SERVICE ASSOCIATION

RCMSA promotes Canada’s military medical services – past, present, and future. This is accomplished through: public education and the sharing information of mutual interest with serving and former members to foster esprit de corps. The Association maintains the RCMS heritage, both the history and the traditions by working with museums and like organizations, across Canada to bring the military medical services history, artifacts and accomplishments to public attention.

CANADIAN INFANTRY ASSOCIATION

The Canadian Infantry Association  is a strong credible united national community for former serving and serving infanteers and its stakeholders. It will provide relevant programs and services, advocate for and promote the infantry profession and foster its esprit de corps, by sharing knowledge through effective communications, networking, professional development, support services, and preserving our infantry heritage.

NAVAL ASSOCIATION OF CANADA

NAC extends its membership to all those who have an interest in seeing the Royal Canadian Navy prosper and maintain its world-class capabilities.

NAC seeks to educate the Canadian public on their Navy and what it needs to continue to contribute effectively into the future to Canada’s security, prosperity and other interests, not only in home waters, but around the world. Besides public education, two other equal pillars form NAC’s mission: Maritime Heritage and Camaraderie.

ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The RMC Alumni Association serves both the alumni and the current N/OCdts of the Colleges to provide guidance, mentorship, financial resources, and promotion of the history of the Colleges.  The RMC Alumni Association is also an arm’s length proactive fundraiser for the Colleges.  The RMC Alumni Association provides funding for our future leaders of Canada to ensure that no opportunity is missed in their military, leadership, academic, athletic, or bilingualism training.

CANADA COMPANY

Canada Company is a non-partisan charity devoted to supporting Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, leaders, veterans, and their families. As an enduring bridge between the military and the Canadian public, they build meaningful connections to increase awareness and knowledge of the CAF’s impact and value to all of Canada.

CANADIAN ARMED FORCES PUBLIC AFFAIRS BRANCH

The mission of the Public Affairs Branch is to inform Canadians of the policies, programs, services, activities, operations and initiatives of the Canadian Armed Forces in a manner that is accurate, complete, objective, timely, relevant, understandable, open and transparent within the law.

INSTITUT MILITAIRE DE QUÉBEC

L’Institut militaire de Québec (IMQ) est une organisation à but non lucratif dont la mission principale était de renforcer les liens entre les officiers de la Force régulière et de la Force de réserve.

Aujourd’hui, ses objectifs ont évolué vers un rôle d’accompagnement en proposant des activités visant à compléter le développement professionnel des officiers et des sous-officiers, tout en contribuant sans cesse au rayonnement des Forces armées canadiennes. 

CANADIAN WAR MUSEUM

The Canadian War Museum is Canada’s national museum of military history and one of the world’s most respected museums for the study and understanding of armed conflict.

Their mandate is to enhance Canadians’ knowledge, understanding and appreciation of events, experiences, people and objects that reflect and have shaped Canada’s history and identity, and also to enhance their awareness of world history and cultures.

ARMY CADET LEAGUE OF CANADA

The Army Cadet League of Canada, a civilian nonprofit organization, commits to support the Army Cadets by working in partnership with local communities and the Canadian Forces in the development of policies and methods for achieving the aims and objectives of the Canadian Cadet Movement in general, and the Royal Canadian Army Cadets in particular.

The League is the supervisory sponsor for more than 400 cadet corps across Canada. With the aid of each branch office, the League ensures financial, accommodations and transportation support for programs and services not provided by the Department of National Defence to more than 15,000 Army cadets.

ST. JOHN AMBULANCE CANADA

St. John Canada (the Priory of Canada) is the second largest establishment in the Order of St. John, following the Priory of England and supports the mission of the Order of St. John in Canada.

St. John Ambulance is at the forefront, providing first aid training and medical assistance to people in need. St. John Canada financially supports the St. John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem, a leading health care and research facility, through donations and contributions from St. John Councils.

TOGETHER WE STAND FOUNDATION

Together We Stand serves Canada’s military families by honouring their contributions to our country, supporting families in need of a hand up, and educating the civilian population about the pivotal role these families play in the country’s safety and security.

 

WOUNDED WARRIORS

Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC) is a national mental health service provider dedicated to serving Trauma Exposed Organizations, Trauma Exposed Professionals, and their Trauma Exposed Families.

WWC specializes in providing culturally informed services that utilize a combination of education, counselling, and training approaches to support resiliency and recovery from post-trauma injuries.

CANADIAN FORCES LIASON COUNCIL

The Canadian Forces Liaison Council (CFLC) is an organization of more than 140 Canadian  volunteers who work in partnership with the Defence Team to engage employers, educational institutions and other organizations to emphasise how valuable reserve service is to Canadian communities and the defence of Canada. Their volunteers are executives, educators, managers, and community leaders who understand how important reserve service is, and how the workforce benefits from the skills and values military members bring with them.

LAST POST FUND

The Last Post Fund’s mission is to ensure that no Veteran is denied a dignified funeral and burial, as well as a military gravestone, due to insufficient funds at the time of death. Its primary mandate is to deliver the Veterans Affairs Canada Funeral and Burial Program which provides funeral, burial and grave marking benefits for eligible Canadian and Allied Veterans. The Unmarked Grave Program provides military markers for unmarked Veterans’ graves. In March 2019, the Indigenous Veterans Initiative was launched in an effort to commemorate and honour the memory of over 18,000 Indigenous Veterans, many of whom are thought to lie in unmarked graves.

CONCUSSION LEGACY FOUNDATION

The Concussion Legacy Foundation is a charity based in the United States with chapters in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

It was founded by Robert Cantu, MD, and Chris Nowinski, PhD to support athletes, veterans and all affected by concussions and CTE, to promote smarter sports and safer athletes through education and innovation, and End CTE through prevention and research. CLF is a proud supporter of and collaborator with the Boston University CTE Center.

CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF SECURITY AND INTELLIGENCE STUDIES

The Canadian Association for Security and Intelligence Studies (CASIS) is a nonpartisan, voluntary organization established in 1985. Its purpose is to provide informed debate in Canada on security and intelligence issues. A distinguished board of directors comprised of professionals of national and international reputation and status oversee the operations of the association.

For over twenty-five years CASIS has held an annual meeting and has sponsored conferences, symposiums and forums on particular intelligence and security-related themes. The first conference was held at Glendon College in Toronto in June 1984 with others being held in Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, and Halifax; more recently annual conferences have been held in Ottawa.

ROYAL UNITED SERVICES INSTITUTE OF VANCOUVER ISLAND

RUSI-VI as established in Victoria, BC in 1927 and aims to promote national defence and security issues through discussion and engagement. Its members include serving and retired military and police members, and from civilians interested in defense and security matters. To help preserve Canadian Military History, RUSI-VI supports the Veterans Oral History Program at the University of Victoria, which records and archives the experience of individual Canadian veterans, and the Vancouver Island Cadet bands.

TREBLE VICTOR GROUP

The Treble Victor Group is a not-for-profit networking group established to enable ex-military personnel to achieve their full potential in post-service careers through common values, mutual support, teamwork, mentorship, and the network’s connectivity.

The common thread among all members is pride in past service, a recognition of the shared values and expectations that come with military service, and a desire to help others grow their post-service careers.

ROYAL CANADIAN MILITARY INSTITUTE

RCMI is an independent member-supported organization which, promotes the study and discussion of military history, defence, security and international affairs, along with the operation of its museum, library and archives for the benefit of its members and the interested public, through the provision of exceptional services within a unique collegial environment.

THE CANADIAN CORPS OF COMMISSIONAIRES

Commissionaires is a unique Canadian institution, Canada’s premier security company, founded on the core values of dedication, responsibility and sense of mission. A completely self-funded, not-for-profit organization, it has a strong social mandate to provide meaningful employment to veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Mounted Police, their families and all others who wish to contribute to the security and well-being of Canadians. Commissionaires offers a wide range of security and management positions, flexible work hours, and transitional employment . Our 22,000 employees serve 1,200 communities across the country with a wide range services including fingerprinting, background and criminal record checks, cyber security, monitoring and response, non-core policing, mobile patrol, consulting, training, investigations, and guarding.

THE RESPECT CAMPAIGN

Respect Forum meetings bring together people from health and social services, all levels of government, universities, community organizations, and peer support organizations to create a network among organizations who support veterans, emergency responders, and their families in meeting the array of challenges, such as transition, mental health issues, and housing instability by promoting collaboration that improves the delivery of services. Participants have the opportunity to talk about their organizations, the services they provide, the challenges they face, and their research and community engagement activities — paving the way to explore possibilities for collaboration. 

The RESPECT Campaign is a civilian project headquartered in Montreal Quebec. The purpose of the RESPECT Campaign is to promote the core Canadian value of RESPECT between Canadians, our Military and Veterans. 

TEAM RUBICON

Team Rubicon is a veteran-led humanitarian organization, built to serve global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises.

By engaging veterans in continued service through disaster response, not only does Team Rubicon provide relief to affected communities, but many veteran volunteers begin to regain the purpose, community, and identity that is difficult to find upon leaving the armed forces.

CANADIAN INSTITUTE FOR MILITARY AND VETERAN HEALTH RESEARCH

The Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research aims to maximize the health and well-being of Canadian military personnel, Veterans and their families through world-class research resulting in evidence-informed practices, policies and programs.

NATO ASSOCIATION OF CANADA

The mission of NATO Association of Canada is to promote peace, prosperity, and security through knowledge and understanding of the importance of NATO.

NATO Association of Canada strives to educate and engage Canadians about NATO and NATO’s goal of peace, prosperity and security. NATO Association of Canada ensures that we have an informed citizenry able to contribute to discussions about Canada’s role on the world stage.

DOMINION OF CANADA RIFLE ASSOCIATION

DCRA is the national governing body for fullbore target shooting. It promotes and supports the pursuit of excellence in military and civilian marksmanship as a positive and significant contribution to Canada, to the sport of shooting and to the safe handling of firearms.

THE RANGER FOUNDATION

The Ranger Foundation supports the 3rd Canadian Ranger Patrol Group by raising the visibility and awareness of its members and their activities to the Canadian public. This specialized reserve component of the Canadian Armed Forces serves in 27 locations situated in Ontario’s most northern and austere regions.

ROYAL KINGSTON UNITED SERVICES INSTITUTE

RKUSI aims to promote awareness through study, discussion, research of Canadian defence and security history, realities, policies, and requirements, thereby facilitating an ongoing understanding of the importance of meeting Canada’s defence and security commitments. Its members are former or actively serving officers of the CAF, RCMP, CSIS, veterans of allied forces, and interested civilians.

LETHBRIDGE UNITED SERVICES INSTITUTE

The Lethbridge USI aims to support the Canadian Armed Forces and to keep our members informed on current military affairs and developments; to support the CAF (Regular and Reserve) and the cadet movement; and to act as a link between the CAF and the general public so that the role and requirements for an adequate Armed Forces can be enhanced and better understood.

ROYAL UNITED SERVICES INSTITUTE OF REGINA

The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) of Regina is a Regina-based non-profit organization and one of many independent United Services Institutes in the world.

At inception a century ago RUSI Regina was for the study of military science, understanding of Canadian defense policy, and supportive gathering of military veterans. Today RUSI welcomes civilians as well as current and ex-service personnel, and its primary public activity is captured in its mission statement: honouring the Canadian Armed Forces and its members past and present. RUSI holds many public commemorative events and has a multi-year program that creates public memorials of various kinds, including online. RUSI also holds social events to encourage awareness. The organization collaborates with the University of Regina on historical research to support the recognition of Canadian service and sacrifice.

UNITED SERVICES INSTITUTE OF NANAIMO AND NORTH ISLAND

Tthe United Services Institute of Nanaimo & North Island (USINNI) is one of 27 independent such institutes established across Canada . The institutes are patterned on those established in the United Kingdom following the First World War, although one of our institutes, the Royal Canadian Military Institute in Toronto, was formally founded in 1890, and, traces its roots back to the garrison officers club that existed at Fort York prior to Confederation.

CENTRE FOR INTERNATIONAL AND DEFENCE POLICY

The CIDP is a leading Canadian research organization that bridges the gap between academic research and policy on matters related to military and defence. The Centre’s vision is to be a trusted voice on defence and military affairs both in Canada and internationally.
